So what makes a good Green Belt Project?
- Choose a problem in your work environment that is aligned with current business issues; this can be a project you have already been assigned or one you create in response to a problem you are currently dealing with.
- The solution to the problem is not evident. You do not know how to solve the problem.
- It should be possible to complete the project within 3-6 months.
- The process needs to cycle often; you will need to observe the process happening frequently within the next few months.
- You are the project manager. You also need a project sponsor (your manager/executive/etc.) that is committed to project success.
